Editorial Policies & Transparency
Editorial Independence
POV Magazine Europe maintains complete editorial independence from its funders, advertisers, and sponsors. All editorial decisions — including which films are reviewed, which filmmakers are interviewed, and how films are assessed — are made solely by our editorial team.
Advertising and sponsorship relationships have no influence over our editorial content. Our critics are not permitted to accept gifts, hospitality, or compensation from film distributors, publicists, or studios beyond standard press screening access.
When a conflict of interest exists — for example, when a writer has a personal connection to a filmmaker — we disclose this to readers and, where appropriate, assign coverage to another writer.

Editorial Policies
Review Policy
Reviews reflect the honest opinion of the assigned critic. Editors may provide feedback on structure and clarity, but do not alter a critic's assessment of a film. We do not pull reviews at the request of distributors or publicists.
Corrections Policy
We correct factual errors promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the date of correction. We do not silently alter published articles.
Conflicts of Interest
Writers must disclose any personal or professional relationships with filmmakers, distributors, or subjects of their articles. The editor-in-chief determines appropriate action, including reassignment or disclosure.
Press Screenings & Access
POV Europe accepts press accreditation from film festivals and distributors solely for the purpose of screening access. We do not accept paid placement, sponsored coverage, or 'reviews guaranteed' arrangements.
Privacy Policy
We collect minimal personal data from our subscribers and do not sell or share reader data with third parties. Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe at any time.
Funding & Transparency
POV Magazine Europe is funded through a combination of reader subscriptions, advertising, grants from arts councils, and donations. We publish an annual transparency report detailing our revenue sources.
